About Grasshopper Night

Grasshopper Night was a small Burning Man camp based in Nassau County, New York. When we decided to attend BM in 2011, we all agreed we had no interest in being spectators - jumping in with both feet for full participation was a must.

Being our first year at Burning Man we decided to keep the camp small, and in the future allow it to grow if the whim hits us.

Although we had plans to expand the camp, due to logistics, ticketocalypse, and a variety of plans falling through, Grasshopper Night Camp was disbanded for 2012 and remains only as a state of mind (and this web site).

Two of the 3 members have now joined the Barbie Death Camp and Wine Bistro camp.

The Name

Grasshopper Night is a reference to the Jefferson Airplane song Hijack.
